**Homework**- Research the five figures above - rectangular prism, cube, triangular prism, rectangular pyramid, and triangular pyramid. What does the 3-dimensional figure and net look like for each? What are their individual characteristics? Can you find a real-world example of each? We will share our findings tomorrow in class.

**Classwork**

Vocabulary terms from the project that were difficult to find were researched and defined as a class.

**Homework**- Nets and an envelope were given in class. Glue down the envelope into your foldables notebook and cut out the nets. You can cut off the extra tabs that hang off each face. Label each of the 8 nets and fold them along its edges to see the 3-dimensional figure it makes. Your project should be finished and you should be studying it.

**Bell Work**- Review Unit 3 - Expressions: Performance Coach Book p.170 #9, p.175 Example 4, p.176 Coached Example, p.183 Coached Example, p.185 #5.

**Classwork**

(1) Tests over area and inequalities were reviewed and returned.

(2) Marshmallow Task - Building prisms then changing them into pyramids. How do the characteristics change from prism to pyramid in regards to the bases, faces, edges, and vertices? Students were reminded of the characteristics of each solid figure and how they should be described in the project.

**Homework**- Book of Solids project should be finished and you should be studying it. Don't forget to study the nets you were given yesterday.

**Bell Work**- Study your Book of Solids to prepare for the quiz.

**Classwork**

(1) Review the characteristics of the following solids using "Polyhedron Nets": rectangular prism, cube, triangular prism, rectangular pyramid, and triangular pyramid.

(2) 3-dimensional Figures Quiz using your Book of Solids. Quizzes were self-assessed by "highlighting the positive (right answers)" and projects were turned in.

(3) Begin guided notes over the surface area of solids using their nets.
